Abstracts for Fall 2016 WEDA Conference

The Board of the Pacific Chapter of WEDA invites you to submit an abstract for a technical presentation at our Fall 2016 conference in San Diego, California. Presentations on all aspects of dredging and disposal, navigation structures, environmental restoration, and related topics are welcome and presentations specifically relevant to West Coast issues or projects are encouraged. Please limit your abstract to one page. If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to give a presentation on that subject at the conference. The Board of the Pacific Chapter of WEDA invites you to submit an abstract for a technical presentation at our Fall 2016 conference in in San Diego California. Presentations on all aspects of dredging and disposal, navigation structures, environmental restoration, and related topics are welcome and should be sent to Shelly Anghera at programdirector@pacificweda.org .

Projected Agenda Summary:

  • Wednesday session: Corps/Industry Meeting from 1-3 PM, Ports Meeting 1-3 PM, 2016/17 Federal Dredging Program presentation from 3-5 PM, Hosted Ice Breaker 6-9 PM.
  • Thursday’s agenda will consist of technical presentations and a luncheon program. A tour of the Midway Aircraft Carrier in San Diego Bay will follow the luncheon.
  • Friday morning will continue with technical presentations and conclude with chapter business around noon.

Location:
Centrally located in downtown San Diego, Embassy Suites San Diego Bay – Downtown is within easy reach of the water front, airport and the colorful Gaslamp District. Many wonderful and unique dining and entertainment options are within walking distance of the hotel. (The hotel is 3 miles from San Diego Int’l Airport, only minutes by car.)

Conference Registration:
If you plan on attending the 2016 Pacific Chapter Meeting in San Diego, you MUST complete this online registration form, unless you are registering a group of 5 or more. Group registrations, please email info@westerndredging.org for processing.
