MUN Basin Planning Project – Updates and Agenda for the September 3, 2015 Stakeholder Meeting

State Water Resources Control Board This is a message from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley (5).

This message pertains to the “Evaluation of the Municipal and Domestic Supply (MUN) Beneficial Use in Ag Dominated Surface Waters”  Basin Planning project. A couple of items to update you on: 

1.       The next stakeholder meeting is on Thursday September 3, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Rancho Cordova. Attached here is the agenda that contains a weblink for those not attending in person.

2.       The meeting on September 3rd will be focused on the continued development of the LIMITED-MUN beneficial designation as well as the Closed Recirculating System water body category requirements. Attached at the links below are draft documents pertaining to these two items. Note that the LIMITED-MUN document is similar to the one distributed for the June 3rd meeting, however the new additions and areas that we would like stakeholder input on are highlighted in yellow. Both documents are in a editable Microsoft Word version and we are requesting that stakeholders review and send back comments and/or provide proposed Basin Plan language  in advance of the meeting so that we can be prepared to have a productive discussion on the 3rdPlease submit your comments to anne.littlejohn@waterboards.ca.gov by 5 p.m. on Thursday August 27th so that we can redistribute updated meeting documents by the end of next week.

3.       Please mark your calendars for our following stakeholder meeting on Thursday September 24, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Rancho Cordova. This meeting will focus on Monitoring and Surveillance issues. We will be webcasting the meeting and I will send out an agenda with a weblink and other meeting material in September.
