FLOATING AQUATIC VEGETATION CONTROL PROGRAM

 

Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes), 

South American Spongeplant (Limnobium laevigatum), 

Uruguay Water Primrose (Ludwigia hexapetala), and 

Alligatorweed (Alternanthera philoxeroides)

Treatments for August 17 through August 21, 2020

Herbicide treatment of invasive floating aquatic vegetation will begin on April 20, 2020 in various areas of the Sacramento -San Joaquin Delta.

 

Treatments may not occur in some or all sites due to weather conditions, timing restrictions, and growth stage of the aquatic invasive plants. 

“Treatment sites and schedules are subject to change based on regulatory requirements, weather conditions, plant growth and movement, waterway traffic, listed fish presence surveys, and other conditions.”

  • Spraying will be conducted weekly, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Herbicide applications during the treatment period will utilize Glyphosate (Roundup Custom), Imazamox (Clearcast) or 2,4-D (Weedar 64).

Select Area 1 Sites and Area 2-4: 

April 30, 2020 – November 30, 2020

All Area 1 Sites: 

June 1, 2020 – November 30, 2020
