The Marathon Petroleum Corp. Martinez Refinery produces motor fuels, including cleaner-burning California Air Resources Board (CARB) gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as conventional gasoline, heavy fuel oils, petroleum gas and petroleum coke. The refinery has been operating for more than 100 years. Marathon is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen in the communities where it operates, and has consistently invested in its equipment, employees and technology. In a recent upgrade at the Martinez Refinery, the company installed equipment to co-process renewable feedstock derived from forest residue and municipal waste in the production of lower-carbon transportation fuels. Regulatory Affairs Manager Peter Dahling serves on the BPC Board of Directors, and Marathon is proud to work with BPC on issues related to air quality, water, dredging, and regulatory compliance.
