CRA Announcements
California Wildfires – Information Sharing & Supporting Cross-Sector Connections
The CRA is actively supporting information sharing for the Camp and Woolsey Fires, both through the compilation of situational Information Reports and one-on-one meeting more unique informational needs. Additionally, the CRA is also supporting connecting individuals cross the sectors such as leaders from private sector company that have needed supplies to donate with the state BOC, Cal Volunteers, and/or contacts with Nor Cal VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Assisting in Disasters). If there is information you are looking for and having a difficulty finding and/or needing points of contact please feel reach out. The current CRA sit reps have been going out to all members with an interest in wildfires and/or the impacted counties of Butte, Los Angeles, and Ventura. If you are not interested in wildfires or these counties under more normal conditions, but would like to receive the sit reps for either or both of these fire, let me know, we can do a temporary override on your member profile.
Borderline Shooting in Thousand Oaks & Active Shooter Resource Collection
This past week the CRA’s focus has been on the Camp and Woolsey fires because of the imminent threats to lives and communities. Yet in the midst of the devastation of these fires, the CRA has not forgotten about the tragic November 7 mass casualty shooting at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks. In the coming days the CRA will be compiling a collection of active shooter / armed assailant resources spanning from pre-incident planning and training though incident response and post-incident recovery. In the meantime, if your organization has employees impacted by the Borderline Shooting, the Thousand Oaks Assistance Center is open though Friday, November 16 from 10:00am to 7:00pm. Information is also available via the Assistance Center at (805) 214-2503 and the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office at (805) 947-7981. Email requests for information and access to victim’s assistance resources can also be sent to VCDAOBorderline@ventura.org.
