He brings a wealth of ecological knowledge and expertise that will be a major asset to our continued growth.

Before joining Integral, Dr. Macrander spent more than 25 years as an environmental ecologist for the Royal Dutch Shell Group. As a senior environmental advisor, he was the company lead on a diverse portfolio of issues in environmental ecology including natural resource damage assessment, ecological risk assessment, wetlands and coastal issues, and environmental crisis response. He also served as the global lead and spokesperson for Arctic science and was responsible for fostering the development, planning, and implementation of an extensive program of scientific investigation and monitoring. Dr. Macrander also served as the lead advisor on natural resource damage assessment and managed many significant cases under both the Oil Pollution Act and CERCLA.

“Dr. Macrander’s expertise and understanding of environmental management within the oil and gas and broader energy sectors will be a strong advantage to Integral and our clients. We are excited that he has joined our firm,” said Damian Preziosi, principal and practice director of Integral’s Ecology practice.

He has worked successfully to resolve environmental issues with state and federal regulators in the United States and internationally.

Dr. Macrander received a B.A. in biology from Tarkio College in Missouri and a Ph.D. in biology (specializing in ecology and physiology) from the University of Alabama. He practices from Integral’s Seattle office at 719 2nd Avenue, Suite 700, Seattle, WA 98104 and can be reached at mmacrander@integral-corp.com.
