You are invited to a meeting of the South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project Stakeholder Forum and Alviso, Eden Landing and Ravenswood Working Groups on Tuesday, August 4, from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Mountain View Community Center, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave, Mountain View. This is a periodic meeting to update stakeholders and the public on Project happenings and seek comments and perspectives.
After a one-hour break, from 6:00-8:00 PM, the Project will hold a public hearing on the draft Environmental Impact Statement/Report for Phase 2 restoration and public access construction at Alviso and Ravenswood ponds. The environmental document is scheduled for release in mid-July. The hearing provides an opportunity to learn more about the potential environmental impact of Phase 2 plans, to talk to Project managers, and to provide verbal comments. The Project will be soliciting both verbal and written input.
The meetings will be preceded by a walking tour of Ponds R5-S5 in Menlo Park, where a major Phase 2 project is planned to enhance habitat values and add trails while providing flood retention.
You will be notified once the environmental document is released. An agenda and further information about the meetings and tour will be forthcoming.
