Coffee & King Tides
Grab your camera and travel mug and join us to capture the king tides at one (or both!) of these locations:
King Tides at CuriOdyssey – San Mateo County Supervisor Pine and Supervisor Groom are partnering with CuriOdyssey to bring you king tides & coffee on the bay. Drink coffee, take pictures, and learn about the County’s sea level rise efforts. The event is on November 24, 9:15am-11:00am. High tide is at 10:16am.
King Tides at Surfer’s Beach – Join San Mateo County Supervisor Don Horsley and Half Moon Bay Mayor Marina Fraser for coffee and views of the high-tide from the CA Coastal Trail at Surfer’s Beach near Pillar Point Harbor. Bring your travel mug and camera! Surfer’s Beach, November 24, 8:30am-10:00am. High tide is at 8:31am.
The California King Tides Project helps people visualize how sea level rise will impact their lives. Via smartphones and social media, we invite you to document “king tides” – the highest high tides of today, which will be the average water levels of the future. Everyone is welcome to participate!
