Fiscal Year 2014/15 Draft Call for Projects
The San Francisco County Transportation Authority is pleased to announce a call for projects for an estimated $800,000 in TFCA County Program Manager Fund programming for the Fiscal Year 2014/15 cycle. This is being issued as a draft call for projects until the Transportation Authority Board adopts the Local Expenditure Criteria, which is scheduled for consideration on February 25, 2014. We expect to issue the final call immediately after Board action on the criteria. Please visit our website at www.sfcta.org/tfcacallforprojects for more information. Applications are due to the Authority by 5pm on March 31, 2014.
TFCA was established to fund the most effective transportation projects that achieve emission reductions from motor vehicles. Funds are generated from a $4 surcharge on the vehicle registration fee. Forty percent of the funds are set aside for Program Managers for each of the nine counties in the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District). The designated Program Manager for the City and County of San Francisco is the Transportation Authority.
who can apply
Public agencies are eligible to apply for all project categories. Non-public entities may only be awarded TFCA grants for certain clean air vehicle projects (new alternative fuel vehicle and infrastructure projects) that reduce mobile source emissions.
