On September 15, 2014, the CASA Board of Directors adopted procedures for nominating candidates for the Board of Directors and the conduct of future Board elections. The new procedures complement the recently adopted bylaws by describing the process to be used for nominating Directors. In addition to setting forth the schedule and steps to be followed, the procedures provide guidance to the Nominating Committee with regard to the diversity of the Board and the goal of facilitating transition to new Directors.
CASA will continue to rely on the Nominations Committee to recommend the slate of Directors. However, under the new procedures, members will have an opportunity to propose candidates for the Board during a formal solicitation process beginning in January.
