On November 20, 2025, BPC welcomed leading practitioners and industry professionals at our 2025 CEQA & Regulatory Update Workshop at the David Brower Center in Berkeley. This year's event featured timely discussions examining how California’s environmental review and regulatory framework is evolving. Attendees heard timely updates on federal regulations, CEQA legislation and climate disclosure policies, and major case developments from the past year.

Kate Gordon
Chief Executive Officer, California Forward
In addition to three engaging segments, Bay Planning Coalition was honored to welcome Kate Gordon as the keynote speaker for this year's CEQA Update event.
A nationally recognized leader at the intersection of climate, energy, and economic policy, Gordon touched on her work as Senior Advisor to U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and as Director of the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research under Governor Gavin Newsom, offering a high-level view of California’s environmental and regulatory landscape.
