Event Description
Addressing the impacts of climate change is a top priority in San Mateo County, where our challenges are uniquely shore to shore, with coastal erosion on the ocean side, rising waters on the bayside, and intensifying storms in between. San Mateo County leads the way in developing collaborative responses to sea level rise, stormwater management and other climate-related risks.
“Shore to Shore: Envisioning Our Resilient Water Future” will identify opportunities and challenges our communities face with respect to flood resiliency, sea level rise, stormwater management, and other water related issues.

San Mateo County Supervisor Dave Pine will kick off the morning by highlighting water activities in San Mateo County followed by presentations that look back on our successes and envision our resilient water future. There will also be special demonstrations by youth leaders and from successful resiliency projects. (Agenda forthcoming.)

This free event is open to all and is co-sponsored by San Mateo County Supervisor Dave Pine, County of San Mateo Office of Sustainability and the City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG) of San Mateo County.
