A subcommittee of Bay Planning Coalition members from the Dredging & Beneficial Reuse and Legislative & Policy Committees has met several times to develop a proposal for state legislation that would und a study to quantify the economic and environmental benefits of dredging and beneficial reuse in the State of California and to analyze the benefits of direct state investment in these activities. The group has also developed an initial proposal for the scope of the study. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Spreading the word about this legislation will likely be a major agenda item for BPC’s upcoming Sacramento Day on Wednesday, April 19th.
