Following approval by the Board of Directors at their May 17th meeting, BPC has joined a coalition of organizations opposing AB 378, a California State Assembly bill that effectively directs the California Air Resources Board to move California from the cost-effective methods for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creates a complicated regulatory regime of costly direct control measures. Other members of the coalition include the California Manufacturers & Technology Association, the California Business Roundtable, the California Retailers Association, and the Western States Petroleum Association, among others. The coalition has written a joint letter to the Assembly Appropriations Committee outlining its opposition to the bill.
