Two Deadlines coming up for
Submitting Comments on
Draft Guidelines for Prop 1 Funding
Now is the time to get your comments in on the draft guidelines proposed by the Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Wildlife Conservation Board for bond monies from Prop 1 funding. The deadlines are:
April 9, for the Department of Fish & Widlife –

California Landscape Conservation Cooperative is seeking to support
collaborative ecosystem processes projects that increase understanding of changing hydrologic process and regimes on species, habitats and ecosystems
This program is intended to create and maintain a nationwide legacy of high quality recreation areas and facilities and to stimulate non-federal investments in the protection and maintenance of recreation resources across the United States.
Supports small, grassroots, activist organizations with provocative direct-action agendas, working on multi-pronged campaigns to preserve and protect our environment.
This program funds projects that address the regional or national level priorities for state fish and wildlife agencies.
By May 15, 2015 California Wildlands Grassroots Funds
This fund supports conservationists advocating for the permanent protection of intact wildlands on both public and private lands in order to help preserve California’s wilderness and native biological diversity.
By June 1 JW & HM Goodman Family Foundation
The Foundation offers small grants – $5,000 – in support of science-based work to improve the Oregon and San Francisco Bay marine systems through protection, planning, and/or restoration.
By June 24, 2015 National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program
The primary goal of this program is the long-term conservation of coastal wetland ecosystems. Grants must go through a state agency and applicants should coordinate with SFBJV Coordinator Beth Huning.
These small grants (approx $8,000) support projects that “protect Earth’s beauty and bounty; increase opportunities for outdoor activity, reduce environmental health hazards and/or build stronger communities. Applications received on the 15th of February, May, August and November 1.
