The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Monday announced another increase to its Friant Division 2016 Class 1 water supply allocation – taking it from 65% to 75%. This is the Bureau’s fourth adjustment to the allocation since its initial April 1 allocation of 30%.

Save Our Water on Thursday launched its summer 2016 public education campaign, titled – “Water Conservation: It’s For Life,” reflecting the shifting approach to water conservation in California and encouraging permanent changes to save water and make conservation a part of the permanent California lifestyle.

A preliminary agenda for ACWA’s 2016 Regulatory Summit titled “Water and Energy: Beyond the Nexus” is now available on ACWA’s website. The summit, to be held Oct. 3-4 at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West, will examine how the transformation of California’s energy grid will impact water agencies.

The ACWA State Relations Department is now requesting legislative proposals from member agencies for the first year of the 2017-‘18 legislative session. The State Legislative Committee will review final legislative proposals at its upcoming annual planning meeting on Oct. 21 in Sacramento.
