On November 20, 2025, BPC welcomed leading practitioners and industry professionals to our 2025 CEQA & Regulatory Update Workshop at the David Brower Center in Berkeley.
The event featured timely discussions examining how California’s environmental review and regulatory framework is evolving. Attendees heard updates on federal regulations, CEQA legislation and climate disclosure policies, and major case developments from the past year.

Bay Planning Coalition was honored to welcome Kate Gordon as the keynote speaker for the 2025 CEQA & Regulatory Update Workshop. A nationally recognized leader at the intersection of climate, energy, and economic policy, Gordon offered a high-level view of California’s environmental and regulatory landscape.
Drawing from her experience as Senior Advisor to U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and Director of the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research under Governor Gavin Newsom, she shared perspectives on the policy environment shaping California’s future.
