BPC has officially signed onto a letter authored by the Bay Area Council to the California Water Commission expressing concerns with the draft Public Benefits Ratios released for Proposition 1 support-eligible projects. Having found that the draft ratios would only allocate $1.7 billion of the $2.7 billion approved by Proposition 1, the Bay Area Council identified several projects that are in dire need of the leftover available funding to improve the region’s climate resilience. BPC will be sending a follow-up letter to the California Water Commission in advance of its March 21st meeting to seek further clarity and discuss additional concerns on the issue.
