Extended Application Deadline for EV Charging Station Demonstration Program

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) would like to inform you that the application submittal deadline for the EV Charging Station Demonstration Program (Program) has been extended to 4:00 PM, Friday, December 18, 2015.  The website is in the process of being updated to reflect the new deadline and updated Program guidance.

A pre-application webinar will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  The webinar will provide an overview of the program, the application process and program evaluation criteria, and grantee administrative requirements. Webinar attendance is optional but encouraged. If you would like to attend the webinar, you must pre-register and early registration is encouraged as each webinar is limited to 100 attendees.

Background:

The EV Charging Station Demonstration Program will provide funding for public entities to quickly deploy publicly available EV charging stations along Bay Area transportation corridors, at workplaces, and at key destinations.  Grantees will report station usage information that will be compiled into a White Paper to document the Program’s environmental, economic, and operating benefits.  Up to $900,000 in grant funding will be awarded through a competitive process.  Applications will be evaluated based on their cost-effectiveness, and the Air District anticipates funding between two and five projects.

Please share this information with your colleagues and public agencies who may be interested in EV-related funding opportunities and informational webinars.
