Extension on Rule Means No Disruption in Deliveries
Last week we informed you that a looming rule to protect runaway trains could result in the disruption of chemical deliveries to wastewater treatment plants.
We’re happy to report that the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure has called for a three-year extension. Under the provision, a rail carrier will be required to submit a plan of action to the federal government demonstrating how it will comply with the acquisition of PTC hardware and software and personnel training.
