Request for CalDesal Legislative Proposals for 2016

Do you have need for Legislation relating to Desalination or Salinity Management?

 

Then maybe CalDesal can help!

 

CalDesal provides a number of valuable services for its members, including sponsoring legislation in Sacramento.  However, successfully running legislation is a team effort and will require a substantial time commitment on the part of the proponent of the idea as well as CalDesal members. So if you have a legislative issue, please provide in writing the following:

 

What problem are you trying to resolve?

 

  1. What problem are you trying to resolve?
  2. What are you trying to accomplish or prevent through this proposal?
  3. Would this proposal affect more than one agency or just yours? Will other CalDesal members benefit and how?
  4. Please provide specific examples of the problem you are trying to resolve.
  5. Do you have a legislator in mind to author the bill?
  6. Please provide the contact information for the person(s) who will draft legislative language and work with CalDesal on language as the bill is amended through the legislative process.
  7. Please provide names and contact information for individuals that would be available to write letters and testify at each legislative hearing.
  8. Has your board approved your submitting this legislative proposal to CalDesal?

 

In order to properly analyze and prepare proposed legislation for the 2016 session, please provide your proposals to CalDesal by September 4, 2015. Forward your written proposal to Nathan Carlson atinfo@caldesal.org.

Desal Tech 2015 Conference Materials are Available 

DesalTech 2015, the International Conference on Emerging Water Desal Technologies in Municipal and Industrial Application, will be held on 28-29 August in San Diego, California, immediately preceding the IDA World Congress.
