| To Port Friends and Neighbors:We are sending this friendly reminder about the Port of San Francisco’s upcoming project to update the Waterfront Land Use Plan. We invite interested citizens from San Francisco and the Bay Area to participate in the public process. The Port will create a Waterfront Plan Working Group and Advisory Teams to discuss new needs and opportunities to help develop recommendations to update the Waterfront Plan. The deadline for submitting your interest in serving on the Working Group and/or an Advisory Team is July 17th, 2015.
The Waterfront Plan Working Group will provide a public forum to address future needs and desires to improve the Port of San Francisco waterfront. These public discussions will be supported by Advisory Teams served by citizens with special knowledge or expertise to provide input on specific topics, including waterfront resilience; recreation and open space; historic preservation and urban design; and Port financial needs.

The Port welcomes and invites interested members of the public to submit their interest for the Waterfront Plan Working Group and Advisory Teams, through July 17, 2015. Please share this message with others who may be interested. From the submittals received, Port staff aims to establish these bodies by September. The public process for the Waterfront Plan Update is scheduled to start in late September 2015.
