This is a message from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley (5).

Attached here is the Notice of Public Workshop concerning amendments to the water quality control plans for the Sacramento River and San Joaquin River Basins and the Tulare Lake Basin to establish a region-wide process for evaluating the Municipal and Domestic Supply (MUN) beneficial use in agriculturally dominated surface water bodies.

The Central Valley Water Board has scheduled to conduct the workshop at the Board’s meeting in Fresno, which will be held at the following date and location:

Date:     16 to 17 April 2015 (Please contact staff two weeks prior to the meeting for the exact date.)

Time:     8:30 a.m.

Place:    Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board Fresno Office, 1685 E Street Fresno, CA 93706

At the April workshop, Board staff will provide the Board with information regarding the development of the amendments, including the preliminary alternatives currently under consideration. The Board will provide members of the public and representatives of other agencies the opportunity to present oral comments on the development of the Proposed Amendment. Though the Board may provide direction to Board staff, the Board will not take action on the amendments at the April workshop.

The final meeting agenda will be available at http://www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley/board_info/meetings/ at least 10 days before the meeting.
