Port of Oakland shuts down as labor contract stalls West Coast ports

All 29 ports along the West Coast, including the Port of Oakland, will shut down over the weekend.
The Pacific Maritime Association, which represents terminal operators at West Coast ports, announced Friday they would be shutting down all activity at the ports temporarily over the weekend.
