The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the Department of Public Health (DPH) are pleased to invite you to a workshop in Sacramento on September 4 & 5, 2013. The purpose of the workshop is to inform the public and interested parties about technologies that have the potential to remove nitrates from groundwater to meet drinking water standards. Vendors will be available to present various treatment technologies and answer questions on the applicability of their systems, especially for small communities. Speakers from SWRCB and DPH will also discuss current regulatory requirements related to nitrate treatment. The Workshop will also include a presentation from a non-profit organization representing environmental justice groups and/or disadvantaged communities.
