Sonoma Water, previously known as the Sonoma County Water Agency, has been a regional leader in water resource management since 1949. Sonoma Water provides clean, reliable, and essential water supply, flood protection and recycled water services to its customers every day. As a wholesale water supplier, more than 600,000 residents from Windsor to the Golden Gate receive their drinking water from Sonoma Water. Critical flood protection facilities, such as Lake Sonoma, Lake Mendocino and over 100 miles of urban streams are monitored, maintained and funded by Sonoma Water.  Recycled water is produced by Sonoma Water at many of its eight wastewater treatment plants which irrigates grape vines.  Sonoma Water is also the grant manager for the Advanced Quantitative Precipitation Information program, which will improve precipitation rainfall by installing updated radar units throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.  Sonoma Water is proud to be a member of the Bay Planning Coalition because it understands the importance of stakeholder collaboration and thinking outside the box.  With more than 200 dedicated professionals serving their communities, Sonoma Water looks forward to serving the greater Bay Planning Coalition by maintaining its active partnership. To learn more about Sonoma Water, go to www.sonomawater.org.
