Preserved Wood Assessment Model Workshop
Presented by Western Wood Preservers Institute

Thursday, September 7, 2017
Regional Water Quality Control Board
Oakland

This hands-on Workshop will provide an introduction to the modeling and screening level tools available for determining impacts associated with the use of pressure treated wood in aquatic and sensitive environments.

Use of currently available models has been recognized by NOAA Fisheries as a useful predictor of potential impacts associated with the use of preserved wood products in aquatic environments on a site-specific basis. This tool can be used to assess the potential impacts of specific projects.

Featured speakers include Jeff Morrell, Oregon State University and Bill Beadie, Maul Foster & Alongi.
