BPC and select members of its Marinas & Boatyards Committee met with the San Francisco Bay Conservation & Development Commission’s (BCDC) Regulatory and Planning divisions this month to discuss the current status and trends of the Bay Area’s boating industry. Committee members presented data on industry size, market demand, and berth pricing, among other items. After a very informative presentation and discussion, BPC and BCDC agreed to continue the conversation with a presentation to the full Commission at a future date. BPC is also working with BCDC to develop a steering committee in which Marinas & Boatyards Committee members can be a resource for expertise and guidance on key boating issues in San Francisco Bay.
