AB 388 Advances to Senate Committees

On March 13th, BPC joined a letter in support of Assembly Bill 388. AB 388 would allow wetland restoration projects involving the beneficial reuse of dredged material to be eligible for funds under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. AB 388 unanimously passed through the Assembly Committee on Natural Resources and Appropriations and is now in two Senate Committees: Natural Resources and Water, and Environmental Quality. The bill is sponsored by Assembly Speaker pro Tempore Kevin Mullin (San Mateo) and originated with the California Coastkeeper Alliance. BPC will continue to monitor this bill and will keep our members updated on its progress and implications.
