Marin Coast Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment Presentations
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission (Nov. 9) and the Board of Supervisors (Nov. 10) will each receive a public presentation on the C-SMART (Collaboration: Seal-level Marin Adaptation Response Team) Program’s draft Coastal Marin Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment (Assessment), which serves as the foundation for the Adaptation Strategy Report that is anticipated to be up for Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors action in April 2016. WHAT: Presentation on the draft Coastal Marin Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment WHO: Any and all interested persons. WHERE & WHEN: Nov. 9 @ 1pm in the Planning Commission Chambers, Room 328 & Nov. 10 @ 9am in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Room 330. Administration Building, Marin County Civic Center, San Rafael, California. A Vulnerability Assessment details where future threat may exist, the nature of the threat, and the consequences the threat may have on existing buildings, infrastructure, and natural resources. This presentation will include a summary of the C-SMART process and the Assessment’s key findings. The draft Assessment consists of the following chapters:
