The South San Francisco Bay Shoreline Study, a partnership of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the State Coastal Conservancy and the Santa Clara Valley Water District, with landowning partners the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the City of San José, would provide flood protection via levees and gently sloping terrain, restore Bay wetlands on about 3000 acres of former salt ponds, and create public trails.
