Save the Date — Moving Goods and Freight in the Bay Area — January 21, 2015

The Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) invite you to join us on Wednesday, January 21st, 2015
for a regional discussion on goods movement needs.

This event, Moving Goods and Freight in the Bay Area: Needs and Opportunities, will cover several topics that we’d like to hear your input on, including:

  • Goods movement needs and issues such as
    congestion, infrastructure capacity, and safety;
  • Opportunities in the Bay Area to support emerging industries,
    integrate planning and expand rail services;
  • Preliminary strategies to address freight needs and cross-cutting
    issues in Alameda County and the Bay Area.

Progress Update:

During our kickoff roundtable in July 2014, a diverse audience of more than 100 government leaders, businesses and community partners gathered to discuss issues and emerging trends in the Bay Area goods movement system.  Now, we have much of our Phase I needs assessment work completed, and we’d like your feedback on our findings.

We hope you can join us on Wednesday, January 21st.
