Exciting News at WRA for 2015+
We are excited to share some big news with you.
Beginning January 1, 2015, Tim DeGraff will be Chief Executive Officer of WRA. After spending 16 years on the front lines of wetlands science and mitigation banking, Tim will lead WRA into the next chapter of its 33-year story. Mr. DeGraff has served as Senior Vice President over the past 6 years where he has taken the lead in expanding our mitigation banking services and opening our San Diego office.
“I am honored to be named the leader of WRA as we look forward to continuing our exemplary work on exciting new projects, services, and markets. It will be a pleasure to work with all of our clients to ensure that their diverse project needs continue to be met at the highest level,” says DeGraff.
Tim is joined by incoming President Geoff Smick who has been with WRA for 10 years. Geoff has provided a high level of technical expertise and strong project management skills to a diverse set of highly satisfied clients and will continue in this role. As President, Mr. Smick will support Mr. DeGraff as he implements WRA’s business strategy.
We thank our outgoing President and CEO, Tom Fraser, for his 20 years of service. Tom has served as WRA’s President since January 2009, leading our company through the recession without layoffs, expanding the number of employees by 50%, and culminating in our most successful year ever. Tom will stay on through the early months of the transition to support the team, and is looking forward to an active retirement.
All of us at WRA look forward to reaching new levels of excellence in our service and technical expertise during 2015 and beyond. Please reach out to Tom, Tim, or Geoff to discuss a project, talk about our transition, or just to say hello and become familiar with our new leadership. If you have not met Tim or Geoff, we would be happy to introduce you.
