With momentum for the Refinery Modernization Project continuing to build, Chevron has begun to emphasize the value of refinery modernization.

The key point: The benefits of refinery modernization – stronger environmental protections, enhanced safety measures, 1,000 local construction jobs and increased resources for the Richmond community – will be shared throughout the entire community.

To help highlight these benefits, Chevron has developed new ads featuring local residents who support the project.  Thanks go to Larry Lewis of the Richmond Police Activities League, Lorena Huerta of Familias Unidas, Tim Manhart of the Catahoula Coffee Company, Regional Occupation Program Graduate John Starling and Mark Ayers, Chevron Richmond’s Chief of Emergency Services, for appearing in our billboards, print ads and direct mail.

Chevron ios also grateful to the more than 100 other Richmond neighbors who participated individually, or with the support of their organizations, including Davis Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the Latina Center, Serrano Bakery, CJ’s Barbecue and Fish, the Craneway Pavilion and members of our own Chevron Richmond Refinery family who generously agreed to participate in new television ads.

You can see the new campaign at
RichmondProud.com/advertising.  After you’ve taken a look, we would deeply appreciate you taking the time to share the messages with your friends and family in Richmond. Also, please encourage those who haven’t yet signed on as a supporter to join us and endorse modernization at RichmondProud.com/Yes.
