Save Our Water to Launch “Californians Don’t Waste’ Media Campaign
This week Save Our Water is launching its statewide ‘Californians Don’t Waste’ paid media campaign to bring awareness and education to Californians on how to save water every day, aiming to capture Californians’ spirit in tackling the worst drought in a generation. The campaign delivers the message through simple, yet eye-catching messages meant to appeal to the Californian ethic – we are Californians and we don’t waste
The ‘Californians Don’t Waste’ media campaign includes advertisements on radio, Internet radio, weather reports and billboards throughout California, along with ongoing digital banners and promoted social media. Advertisements are anticipated to run through the end of June.
Campaign messaging include a call to action for Californians to join the social media Californians Don’t Waste’ challenge aiming to tap into Californians’ can-do spirit and creativity by encouraging the public to join in and share their methods to conserve water, along with general brand awareness of Save Our Water. Californians can share their tips, videos and pictures on Save Our Water’s Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #SaveOurWater. Save Our Water will select videos and photos to share as part of its public awareness campaign.
Save Our Water will officially announce the launch of the campaign later this week with a press release and announcement on the SOW Facebook page and SOW website.
