Season’s Greetings from Chevron Richmond!

It’s been an inspiring year in Richmond with both challenges and rewards. We are thankful to our neighbors, employees and community partners who have worked so tirelessly to make our community a better place to live and work. From our family to yours, we wish you a safe and merry holiday season and a Happy New Year.

A Year of Shared Success

Looking back at 2013, we’re excited to share our work to improve the quality of life in Richmond through our partnerships with the community. Highlights include our community investments, Chevron Volunteer Week, the launch of a community air monitoring program, our $15.5 million Community Revitalization Initiative and much more!

Progress on Refinery Modernization Project

Richmond deserves a newer, safer and cleaner refinery that is better for the community. Chevron is continuing to make progress on our Refinery Modernization Project, which replaces older equipment with modern technologies, reduces air emissions overall and creates 1,000 local construction jobs. This June, local trade unions and Chevron signed a Project Labor Agreement (PLA), helping to ensure the project will be built by local labor union members.

Toy Giveaway Spreads Joy to Children

Chevron firefighters, along with Richmond and El Cerrito firefighters and police officers, are proud to organize the annual Richmond/El Cerrito Fire and Police Holiday Toy Program, which donates thousands of new, unwrapped toys to Richmond and West County children in need. This year, Chevron has offered to match donations of up to $10,000, and we hope this generous offer encourages more members of our community to contribute. For more information about the toy drive, visit toyprogram.org.
