Ocean Planning: How Will it Affect the Maritime Industry?

Ocean Planning seeks to protect the ecology and vitality of our oceans, while bolstering the ocean economy and improving decision making.

Bay Planning Coalition is partnering with Kearns & West to convene one of the first public workshops on Ocean Planning on the West Coast.

We will cover the planning that is currently occurring, and lessons learned from Ocean Planning efforts elsewhere in the country. The aim of the Workshop is to discuss how this process will impact the maritime industry, what we need to do to protect the maritime industry, and how the maritime industry can contribute to the ocean planning process.

Speakers and Panelists will include representatives from:

The Port of Oakland

The Ocean Protection Council

 Pacific Merchant Shipping Association

Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary

US Coast Guard

…and more
