Chevron USA is pleased to announce two grant opportunities to support economic development and education in Richmond and West County and has issued two requests for proposals (RFP). We invite qualified organizations to submit applications for our Economic Self-Sufficiency grant program, or our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Education grant program. Chevron USA will award up to five grants in each program area, for a total of $1 million.

Last year’s Economic Self-Sufficiency and STEM Education grant programs resulted in educating more than 1,921 students through increased access to STEM programs and securing 75 jobs for residents in Richmond and West Contra Costa County.

Chevron USA is committed to playing a vital role in driving economic growth in Richmond by creating jobs, investing in local businesses and community organizations, supporting schools and helping train workers. We know that 2013 brings more opportunities for Chevron USA to continue to partner with the community to help improve the quality of life for Richmond/West County residents.
