The Coast Guard has completed its review of Alternate Management System (AMS) applications submitted by Hyundai Heavy Industries for the HiBallast and HiBallast-EX ballast water treatment systems (BWTS), and accepted them into the AMS program.
The Coast Guard continues to review applications for AMS acceptance and will announce further determinations.
Also, note the Coast Guard’s Ballast Water Management Program public website has moved to Homeport at http://homeport.uscg.mil/environmental, where you will find current information on how to obtain an AMS acceptance from the Coast Guard and a complete list of accepted AMS.
