On December 31, 2012, the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) released the Notice of Filing and of Public Comment Period and Hearing on the Adequacy of the Draft Substitute Environmental Document (SED) in Support of Potential Changes to the Water Quality Control Plan for the San Francisco Bay-Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta Estuary: San Joaquin River Flows and Southern Delta Water Quality (Notice). The Notice states that a hearing on the adequacy of the SED will begin on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, and continue if necessary on March 21 and March 22. The Notice further states that oral comments will be limited to 10 minutes per party or as directed by the hearing officer. On February 15, 2013, the State Water Board sent an email asking that parties who would like more than 10 minutes to present their comments make a request for additional time by March 1, 2013. The email message also encouraged commenters with similar comments to make joint presentations.

An Order of Proceeding for the hearing can be read HERE which reflects the joint presentations and time extensions requested by parties in accordance with the February 15 email message.  If you have any questions please contact Larry Lindsay at (916) 341-5358 or at larry.lindsay@waterboards.ca.gov
