The Bay Planning Coalition wishes you and yours a safe, healthy and happy holiday season

December is almost here!

This month, the Bay Planning Coalition wrapped up an extremely successful 2012 Workshop Series

November 26th was our third workshop,

focusing on the topics of
Long Term Management Strategy (LTMS) and Environmental Mitigation Banking

Power Point slides and video from the panels are posted on the
event webpage

We appreciate all the work and support of our panelists, speakers, volunteers, hosts and sponsors!

Next year, look forward to at least three more workshops, providing unbiased education and opportunity to built collaboration and carry on the important conversations regarding the many issues surrounding quality of life in the San Francisco Bay Area. We’d love to hear from you with thoughts on this year’s series, and ideas for next year! We are always striving to do more to meet our member’s needs- please let us know how we can best serve and educate you.

On Thursday, December 13, 2012, Bay Planning Coalition will host the

29th Annual Membership Meeting and Luncheon

from 11:30am-1:30pm

at the

St. Francis Yacht Club

Please join us for a festive meal and the opportunity to hear from

Zack Wasserman, Chair of the Bay Conservation and Development Commission.

Our quarterly board of directors meeting will take place the morning of the 13th at the St. Francis Yacht Club from 8:00am-11:00am.

On a sad note,

Ray Thinggaard, a long-time member of the BPC board of directors, prior chief engineer at Leslie Salt Company, and later in private practice, passed away this month.

Our thoughts are with his family.

Bay Planning Coalition will match all charitable donations made to educational non-profit
The Marine Science Institute
December 15, 2012.

This bay area educational non-profit introduces thousands of our community’s children to the Bay, often facilitating students’ first hands-on interaction with their local marine environment.  Through a wide variety of educational programs, including Discovery Voyages on a 90 foot research vessel, local students get a chance to experience life as a scientist for a day.

The Bay Planning Coalition supports the Marine Science Institute’s efforts toward inspiring respect and stewardship for the marine environment through experiential learning.  We wish to invite BPC members and all interested parties to donate to MSI through the link below, and we will match donations up to $5,000 made by the 15th of December.

We wish to welcome this month’s new member,

The California Capital and Investment Group
