The Solano County Board of Supervisors adopted its revised biosolids ordinance on August 28  with a unanimous 5-0 vote. The ordinance remains very reasonable and allows the continued land application of Class B biosolids as long as a portion of an agency’s production also goes to Class A or energy production. There is no sunset date in the new ordinance.  Agencies and entities that land apply in the county made this possible by employing excellent biosolids management for many years and numerous people provided input and testimony before the Supervisors. County staff were very responsive to the reasonable requests as a consequence. Please contact
