June 3-4 | ACWA Region 5 Tour of Alameda County Water District Recharge Facilities and San Francisco PUC Historic Sunol Headquarters and Temple and Hetch Hetchy Projects. Attendees will depart on a tour to see ACWD’s recharge facility, rubber inflatable dams, quarries and fish screens before stopping at SFPUC’s historic Sunol Water headquarters for lunch. Following lunch, attendees will see multi-million dollar Hetch Hetchy Water System Improvement projects. The tour will start and end at ACWD’s headquarters in Fremont on Monday, June 4. Preceding the tour, a program and networking reception will take place at the Fremont Marriott on Sunday, June 3 at 5 p.m.
June 22 | ACWA Region 1 Program, Take it From the Tap: Developing a Regional Drink Local Water Campaign. This program will discuss how to develop and implement a regional Local Tap Water campaign. Region 1 is encouraging its members to officially proclaim tap water as its drink of choice and share the proclamation at this event. Attendees will be the judges as Region 1 Board Members bring samples of their local tap water to compete for the title of “Best Tasting Tap”. The day will conclude with a tour of Sonoma County Water Agency’s drinking water facilities. This program will be held at the Santa Rosa Utilities Field Office, in Santa Rosa, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

July 12 | Region 9 Program. This program will be held at East Valley Water District in Highland, CA. Online registration will be available on June 11.
July 13 | Joint Region 6 & 7 Membership Meeting. This meeting will focus on the topic of Groundwater Quality and Irrigated Lands Regulatory Issues and will be held at the Fresno County Farm Bureau. Online registration will be available on June 15.
September 14 | Joint Region 6 & 7 Membership Meeting. This meeting will focus on the topic of Groundwater Management and Bay Delta Conservation Plan updates and will be held at Kern County Water Agency. Online registration will be available on August 17.
September 9-10 | Joint Region 5 & 8 Program, Santa Barbara, CA. Details to be announced.
December 4-7 | ACWA Fall Conference. All Regions hold a membership meeting at conference. Region 2 and Region 10 will each host a Regional Issue Forum. ACWA’s 2012 Fall Conference will be held in San Diego.
