SWRCB Notice of Proposed Regulatory Action: Underground Storage Tanks

The SWRCB released a Notice of Proposed Regulatory Action, Initial Statement of Reasons and the Proposed Text Regulations on the Underground Storage Tank Regulations.   The Comment Deadline is January 2, 2012 by 5:00 p.m.

Save the Date! CDFG Herring Observer Training: Nov. 30

The Department of Fish and Game will provide a training for herring spawning observers on November 30, 2011 from 2-4 pm at the Port of San Francisco Pier 1 in the Bayside 1 room.  This training is required annually, so those who have previously been through the training need to attend again this year.

New Study: Pacific Institute: Water for Energy

Pacific Institute released a study on, “Water for Energy: Future Water Needs for Electricity in the Intermountain West.”  The study evaluates water requirements for electricity generation, discusses the conflicts between water and energy in the Intermountain West, identifies the direction of future research, and provides several key recommendations.
