BPC Submits Letter in Favor of NEPA Reforms

On July 20, BPC submitted a comment letter to the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regarding its plans to potentially update its implementing regulations for the procedural provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The primary suggestion made in the letter is that NEPA be updated to echo the “categorical exemptions” that the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) provides. We hope to engage with the CEQ on this topic as the rulemaking process continues. Please contact BPC staff member Brianne Riley if you would like to participate in our work on this topic.
