Last week, BPC submitted a letter of support for the Alameda County Transportation Commission’s application for funding under the California Transportation Commission’s 2018 Trade Corridor Enhancement Program. The funding would support two key projects as part of the Global Opportunities at the Port of Oakland (GoPort) program: the 7th Street Grade Separation (East) Project and the Freight Intelligence Transportation System Project. The projects will greatly improve truck and rail access at the Port of Oakland, meanwhile providing for more efficient and safer goods movement, and modernizing critical Port infrastructure.
