Lawyers, planners, and land use policy experts alike gathered on Tuesday, October 17th for Bay Planning Coalition’s CEQA Update: Climate Change & Hot Topics Review. One of BPC’s signature annual events, the CEQA Update provides a forum for experts to engage with stakeholders on compelling updates to the California Environmental Quality Act and California land use law in general.

This year’s program featured a panel of CEQA experts from Wendel Rosen Black & Dean LLP, Downey Brand LLP, Ramboll Environ, and Miller Starr Regalia. It began with a presentation on the most pertinent CEQA developments of the past year, and led into a subsequent in-depth discussion as to how climate change is impacting CEQA – especially as the California Air Resources Board acts to meet greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set by AB 32 and SB 32.
