BPC Joins Letter Urging Support for a Balanced Cap-and-Trade Program

On June 16, a coalition of organizations dedicated to the extension of a balanced cap-and-trade program that achieves greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions while protecting jobs and California’s economy submitted a letter to members of the California State Senate and Assembly with several key recommendations. Along with Bay Planning Coalition, the coalition includes trade associations, manufacturers, agriculture and refineries representing more than 75 percent of the GHG emissions regulated by the cap-and-trade program.
