Visualizing Sea Level Rise Event
Saturday, April 22 – 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Jack London Square, Oakland
333 Broadway

This Earth Day, join CESP to raise awareness about the devastating impacts of sea level rise due to climate change. Hold up a fabric panel or pennant to show where the new shoreline will be with 2-meters of sea level rise.

This awareness project showcases what will happen if nothing is done to address sea level rise. We believe that our cities, counties and state need to take action now by seeking funding to implement Resilient Shoreline solutions to combat sea level rise along our East Bay shoreline and the entire Bay.

Who: We’re inviting CESP supporters, organizations, and the general public to participate. Will you join us?

What: Visualizing Sea Level Rise event: hold a fabric panel along the 2-meter sea level rise mark. Use flood maps to locate the 2-meter mark and form a line of fabric panels and pennants along that line.

When: Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Where: Jack London Square, Oakland, meet at 333 Broadway, look for the blue fabric panels.
