In collaboration with Bay Planning Coalition (BPC), staff from the Regional Monitoring Program (RMP) and others will present and facilitate a discussion on the dredger fee schedule for 2017-2019. Read below for more information:

The RMP Dredger Fee Schedule expires after this year. A new fee schedule for 2017-2019 needs to be developed and presented to the RMP Steering Committee.

The fee schedule for 2014-2016 did not generate enough fees to cover the 17.5% of the RMP budget that is allocated to dredgers. The fees generated over three years were $0.41 million less than the $1.80 million owed. If the current fee formula is carried forward, the dredger fee payments will fall behind by another $0.78 million. Therefore, the fee schedule needs to be changed.

The desired outcome of the meeting is consensus among the dredging community on an updated RMP Dredger Fee Schedule for 2017-2019 that will cover 17.5% of the RMP budget.
